iScream, Berkeley

iScream is a cute little ice cream shop in North Berkeley that features high quality ice cream made with fresh and locally-sourced ingredients. While the flavor types might not be the most crazy and inventive by Bay Area standards, all of the ice creams are creamy and flavorful. Of note are their marzipan ice cream, and their Mexican chocolate. iScream is one of my go-to ice cream stops in Berkeley, as they always have a good selection of classic flavors that are going to taste great.

During my most recent visit, I got a cup of their Cherry ice cream and Cookies n' Cream (they allow mixed flavors for single scoops). What I really appreciate about iScream is that they give you a cone wedge with your cup of ice cream! The Cookies n' Cream was terrific with big chunks of Oreo mixed in, and the Cherry ice cream was smooth and light with bits of real fruit. Every time I've had one of the fruit flavors at iScream (and there are many), I've been very happy.
